Lakes

Located at the bottom of the valleys at low altitude (200 to 300 m) surrounded by green pre-Alp mountains, the Savoie’s lakes are great for strolls, relaxation and multiple sporting activities.  The lakes are really enjoyable in summer with water temperatures passing 20° and warm air.  Take advantage of beaches, equipment and water sports facilities.

The great lakes route has the ability to amaze you and rivals the Italian lakes.  Going from Léman lake to Aiguebelette lake (highest point in Aviron) passing by Annecy lake and Bourget lake (the largest natural lake in France, in Lamartine)

Hydrotherapy

Rheumatology, respiratory problems, stomatology, metabolic or digestive illnesses, gynaecology, Savoie’s thermal baths are varied and well suited to tourist trips related to health. More and more tourists are enjoying the assets of the baths.

Gastronomy that smells of the land

Nature has provided the Savoie with the means to produce great wines, cheeses and fruits which have won over many noble officials. Logis de France in the Savoie is therefore pleased to honour local gastronomy.

In all our restaurants you will find the « local menu», an expression of regional, attractive and creative gastronomy that cannot fail to please you.

A bit of history...

From the 13th to the 15th century, the Savoie extended from Neuchatel Lake to Nice, from the gates of Lyon to those of Milan!

In 1416, the Savoie was set us as a Duchy.

In 1860, the Savoie confirmed the vote that attached it to France: the old Duchy formed the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
